Venues Team Up to Offer Cultural Passport for the Games

Venues Team Up to Offer Cultural Passport for the Games
2006-07-12

Twenty-seven of the Chicago area’s largest and most popular cultural attractions are rolling out the red carpet for the 2006 Gay Games and offering a single “Culture Passport” good for special discounts and promotions to Gay Games participants and spectators.

Discounts are available to those who present the Gay Games VII Culture Passport at ticket counters of participating cultural institutions. The passport is inside the free Gay Games Culture Program Guide, given to all Gay Games participants. It is also available starting at the following Chicago Water Works Visitor Information Center, 163 E. Pearson, and the Chicago Cultural Center Visitor Information Center, 77 E. Randolph.

The guide will also be available at the Gay Games VII Expo, open Fri.- Mon., July 14-17, at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan. Participating institutions include:

The skill and grace exhibited by the competitor in Dance Sport will take your breath away. Over 200 dancers will vie for medals in Country Western and Ballroom dancing. Competition is at the Hilton in downtown Chicago from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday thru Thursday. It all culminates with the Grand Ball Dance of Champions on Friday 21 July, 7 pm to midnight (proper attire required).
